What makes Louisville so great to live in? For anybody who has ever lived in Colorado, Louisville truly is one of the optimal cities to live. It has all the things that people fall in love with in Colorado plus so much more. In Louisville you are just a few miles away from both Downtown Denver and Boulder. You are also just minutes away from the mountains where you can enjoy a hike or a bike ride. For all those who love to ski, a few minutes drive brings you to I-70 which will take you to Summit and Vail counties; and 45 minutes to the west and you will arrive at Eldora Ski Resort. And as for Louisville itself, it has all the characteristics and feel of a small town, with the big city just minutes away. The housing market in Louisville hasn’t really taken a hit in this down market. Another reason it is appealing, is that the price of the average Louisville house is considerably below the price of the average home in nearby Boulder. Also for all of you with a family, the Louisville schools usually rank in the top 5 for the state.

A few of Colorado’s other beautiful cities also made the list:

Castle Rock, CO, which is located just 10 miles south of the DTC area of Denver, came in at number 19. Anybody who has ever been there knows why. Castle Rock boasts some of the most gorgeous views in the state, and also has a wonderful small town feel.

Superior, CO, which is located just on the other side of Highway 36 from Louisville, ranked at number 20. Superior has very similar characteristics to Louisville, and also has wonderful access to both Boulder and the Denver I-25 corridor.
